Grass Cutting Season has returned with a vengenance!

Going forward, the Town will NOT be cutting all ditches...we will be POISONING them- this cuts down on the workload of a small workforce and lasts several times longer than cutting each week.

If you DO NOT WANT your ditch poisoned, please call City Hall or place a small sign in your yard to that effect.

UNLESS posted, all ditches will be poisoned.

The ONLY other option to poison is for you to maintain your ditch yourself.

Should our workforce expand in the future, we will revisit this work position.

Thank you for your undertstanding in this matter.

                                                            Mayor Pierrotti

There have been a rash number of complaints regarding ditrches that need to be dug as well as washed out areas in driveways (on the town side) and roads.

Please be patient with us as we attempt to take care of these issues.

In regard to ditches, we will dig them as soon as we are able... the DOTD has been looking at properties which are experiencing erosion along Hwy 190.  Again, these things take time and money, as well as man power.

Thank you to those within our community who have dug some ditches to alleviate flooding in their area of town.  We will continue to address all these things as we are able.

Also, we are looking at alleyways that are currently being used as driveways, have gardens planted on them or have become utilized as 'storage' areas.  Alleyways are for emergency use only and should be cleared at all times.

There are many that have trees on them and need to be cleaned from massive debris...please know we are attempting to alleviate these issues as well.

IF you have or see an issue that you would like to draw our attention to, please call City Hall or come in to see the Mayor.

As always, thank you for your contunued support of our community!

The Town of Elton would like to express appreciation for those residents who have so generously cut grass at the park.

This act of kindess once again proves that the true spirit of our residents is in caring and sharing, their vision, time and talents and most of all their love for others by selflessly giving of the same.  Thank you all!
